Press Brake Operators

Duties and Responsibilities:
·Produce parts and tools from metals and other materials using a CNC Press Brake machine
·Read and understand blue prints and work orders to produce required parts
·Set up and operate machine to make adjustments to control speed, material feed and path of the cut
·Responsible for machine maintenance checks to ensure equipment is working at full capacity and producing quality products
·Oversee machine inventory - ensure inventory is stocked with needed materials, and is well-maintained
·Perform periodic checks on machine outputs
·Responsible for quality checking the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production
·Communicate issues with other coworkers, Supervisors and Managers
·Follow health and safety and quality standards – both legislative and internal ECM policies
Qualifications:
·Skills training through Vocational Schools, Technical Colleges, or Apprenticeships preferred
·3-5 years of combined education and hands-on experience highly preferred
·Must have computer numeric controlled (CNC) knowledge and hands-on experience working with equipment that makes precision bends, punches, or cuts into material
·Must be able to read and understand blueprints or plans for the finished product
·Ability to set up machine to control machine speed, feed materials and make adjustments to machines as required
·Manual dexterity required
·Must be able to conduct self-check for parts quality
·Have an aptitude for math, problem-solving and computer skills and ability to learn new skills
·Ability to work well independently and cooperate with a team
·Ability to communicate well with others
·Detailed-oriented
Work Conditions:
- Fast-paced environment
- Noisy and dusty plant/shop environment
- Physically demanding – handling weights, standing, walking, reaching for extended periods
- May work overtime, as required
